Innovation and Business

Through collaborative efforts and unique approaches, The Water Connection (TWC)
drives innovative solutions addressing current and future water challenges.
We bring together resources from education, government and the private sector
for a multi-sector approach to projects and challenges.

TWC is proud to host the TAP-IN program sponsored by the Colorado Water Conservation Board, Colorado State University, Denver Water, and other partners! The mission of this program is to engage innovators and entrepreneurs in facilitating solutions to complex environmental problems by connecting end users with start-up businesses and cutting edge practices and technologies. TWC’s participation in an early “pitch event” in this program has evolved into leading the continuation of TAP-IN events in 2020.

In 2021, TAP-IN will be focusing on two main programs: Trout Tank Sustainability and a reverse pitch.

Trout Tank Sustainability:
The Small Business Development Center hosts this business accelerator program, and this spring it will be focused on entrepreneurs and start-ups that are focused on water and sustainability related issues. Participants in this program will learn the skills to pitch their ideas to potential partners and investors who can help them take their businesses to the next level.

Applications for this program are open through February 12th, and the program kicks off on February 17th. TAP-IN is excited to support the first cohort for this sustainability Trout Tank and we are eager to see who will win the top $5,000 prize!
